As Senior Art Director – Marketing at Stan, I led creative strategy and execution across the marketing of the Stan brand, its original productions, entertainment releases and major sporting properties. Working as part of the broader marketing function, I translated campaign and business objectives into creative across brand, digital, social, OOH, CRM, events, partnerships and the Stan platform.
Across my time at Stan, I helped lead the creative delivery of more than 1,300 marketing briefs spanning some of the platform’s largest properties, including Yellowstone, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Bump, UEFA, Rugby World Cup, Wimbledon, Six Nations and major pay-per-view events. This involved developing campaign concepts and creative systems that could work consistently across multiple audiences, channels, formats and stages of the customer journey.
As Senior Art Director, my role combined creative leadership with a strong marketing focus. I partnered closely with Stan’s marketing, content, sport and product teams, alongside Nine, international studios, sporting organisations, agencies and production partners, to develop integrated campaigns that built awareness, drove engagement and supported subscriber acquisition and retention.
A major focus of my role was also transforming how Stan’s marketing creative was produced. I developed automated production systems, dynamic templates, asset libraries, QA processes and scalable workflows that enabled the creative team to respond to increasing campaign volumes and rapidly changing marketing requirements without compromising brand consistency or creative quality.
These improvements contributed to approximately $2.8 million in production savings over three years, reduced reliance on external vendors by 42%, increased creative output by 21% and delivered 28% year-on-year efficiency improvements across three consecutive years. The result was a more scalable internal creative operation capable of supporting Stan’s expanding marketing calendar across entertainment, sport and brand.
My work culminated in helping lead creative delivery for Stan’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games marketing campaign. I coordinated large-scale creative production involving more than 60 freelancers, international stakeholders and campaign requirements spanning more than 40 languages, working across Stan, Nine and Olympic stakeholders to deliver against an immovable global broadcast deadline.
During my time with Stan and Nine, work I contributed to was also recognised at some of television’s major industry awards, including two Emmy Awards and a TV WEEK Logie Award. These achievements reflected the collective work of multidisciplinary teams delivering high-profile productions, campaigns and audience experiences across the business.
Through new workflows, automation and production systems, I helped transform the scale and efficiency of Stan’s internal creative operation. Across more than 1,300 campaign briefs, these improvements contributed to approximately $2.8 million in production savings over three years, a 42% reduction in reliance on external vendors and a 21% increase in creative output.
The team achieved 28% year-on-year efficiency improvements across three consecutive years, while FY24 creative expenditure finished 26% under budget. Automated production workflows also transformed high-volume asset creation, with processes that previously required up to seven working days reduced to as little as three hours.
This operational transformation enabled the team to deliver increasingly ambitious campaigns at scale, including the enormous creative demands of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. I helped lead creative production across 60+ freelancers, 40+ languages and a complex network of internal and international stakeholders, while maintaining brand consistency and delivering against immovable broadcast and campaign deadlines.
The creative work I contributed to during this period also received major industry recognition, including two Emmy Awards and a TV WEEK Logie Award, reflecting the calibre and reach of the productions and campaigns delivered across Stan and Nine.
